Gather is an interactive meeting platform featuring proximity video chat, making it as close to the real deal as a digital event can get. And, best of all, it’s fully customisable, with the final product reminiscent of vintage pixel games. So, we ventured into Gather with Magic: The Gathering to create interactive experiences for Strixhaven: School of Mages and Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. The events were featured in Forbes, IGN France, IGN Southeast Asia, Eurogamer, Dicebreaker, Tom’s Hardware and more.
Strixhaven: School of Mages
To celebrate Strixhaven: School of Mages, we recreated the university and all of its five colleges in pixel form. Lore, puzzles, quests, NPCs and treasures filled the space. Not only that: between Prismari, Quandrix, Witherbloom, Lorehold, Silverquill, the Biblioplex, Firejolt Cafe and Bow’s End Tavern, our guests had a lot to explore. Forbes called the event ”a masterclass in pandemic event planning”.
Adventures in the Forgotten RealmsAs Magic: The Gathering met Dungeons & Dragons for a very special set, we invited content creators and press to traverse a dungeon in search of ten exclusive Adventures in the Forgotten Realms cards. It wasn’t an easy task: there were 80+ rooms to explore, with hundreds of NPCs and interactive objects. Over 60 creators decided to stream the event.
