This has been long in the making, so we’re very eager to share: YRS TRULY is now a B Corp!
This means we have been independently verified to be an organisation committed to achieving the highest levels of social and environmental responsibility. We’re excited to become the first gaming marketing agency to receive the certification among the 1100 B Corps in the UK! This is a natural next step for us – we have been aiming to make YRS TRULY a force for good since we our inception. We always wanted to be a part of a global community of interdependent businesses that makes the world a better place for the many (and not the few).
The B Corp certification is a result of a rigorous process that covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.Each applicant is required to reach a benchmark score of over 80, providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices across sustainability, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. While the median score for ordinary businesses is 50.9, YRS TRULY is proud to have achieved a score of 94.7.
So, what does it mean for us?
– We’ve amended our Articles of Association, legally ensuring YRS TRULY creates positive outcomes for its workers, community, environment and customers;
– We’ve undergone a rigorous assessment process, and we’re due for another in three years, dedicating this time to improving our processes even further;
– We’re making a firm commitment to advocating for change. We want other businesses to follow suit and choose purpose over profit.
The B Corp certification is an important milestone, reflecting our commitment to sustainable and responsible practices. Businesses have a critical role to play in creating positive social and environmental impact, and we are proud to be part of a global movement of companies working together towards a shared goal. We hope to inspire other companies in the gaming industry to join us!
